It feels good in your hands. A little weight. A little click. That classic analog charm.
Now what?
Don’t worry – this guide will walk you through your first steps in under three minutes. No manuals. No tech talk. Just film, focus, and your first real photo. Let’s keep it simple.
What you need (and probably already have)
your camera (obviously hehe)
one 35mm film roll
one fitting battery (usually CR123A or AA)
2 minutes and a good vibe
1.🔋 Power it up Find the battery hatch (bottom or side), pop in the battery (mind the +/–), close it. That’s it — no boot-up sound, no loading screen. Just analog readiness.
2.🎞️ Load the film
Open the back. Insert the film canister.
Pull the film across to the right until it hits the little arrow or mark.
Close the back with confidence. Most cameras auto-wind. Some ask you to give it a little twist. Either way: done.
3.📷 Wake her up
Slide the lense cover open or hit the power switch.
That soft click or the screen - that's your green light!
4.📸 Shoot
Look through the viewfinder. Frame something nice.
Press the shutter button. Hear that click? That’s a moment being captured.
Explore if you want
Flash? Self-timer? Focus beeps?
They are there - but you do not need them to get started. Point. Shoot. Enjoy.
This is what you do when the film is full...
