Maedane is five years old. In our interview, we meet her at
with her cousin, with whom she loves to play. She has been out and about a lot with her
camera and loves taking photos when she is out and about with her
friends. Her favorite dish Siopao, a Filipino
national dish, of course preferably cooked by her mother.
ART MEETS EDUCATION
Art Meets Education is a social startup that funds education through photography. In our photography workshops, we show kids how to take photos with an analog camera. This allows them to capture their view of the world with photos. In the next step, we curate the photos, from which we create prints. The artworks are then exhibited and sold. With the money from their works, the young artists can finance their education for 12 years until they graduate from high school.
